A relatively soft presentation on the nose and palate. Earthy mid-palate expression is joined by a kiss of nutmeg. Finishes a little short.
@Bill Bender , thanks for such a wonderful gift - nice touch!

Fun and delicious new label from Nikki Pallesen, formerly of Liquid Farm. Now that she is off on her own, this and her Grenache rosé are the first two wines from the new label (Joni Mitchell inspired label art).

I drank the Grenache version of this last weekend and similarities abound between the two in color (watermelon colored with an orange tinge), and aromatics (watermelon, underripe peach, strawberry and kiwi). While the palate is also somewhat in the same vein (especially the pink sea salt dusted cranberry scone finish) this Mourvèdre version is a bit fleshier in profile. Both are best enjoyed a little bit warmer than cellar temp and this one seemed to sport a touch less acidity but a more rounded and structured mid palate. Ultimately, somewhat splitting hairs as both rosés are pretty great at the price. Followed over two days and stayed strong.
