In a perfect spot. Wow. So lush and velvety with that Rutherford Dust dusting.

Deep and dark in the glass. This was a bold, full and delicious wine. Certainly one of the most expressive '09s from Napa that I've had. Just seamless. Sorry to have missed you @Adam Jesberger

This Mag was the first second wine of a 12 bottle lineup and showed extremely well. Direct from Staglin's cellars and not moved. Elegantly rich but not overly fruity and very very balanced front to back!

Ripe, luscious, dusty tannins. Quite perfect with grilled tri-tip dining al fresca in March.

Also nice dark fruit and hint of walnut. Prominent tannin but very round. Perfect balance.

Delightful. Soft tannins, well balanced, depth and a long finish.

Well, where should we start? Great structure, depth and balance! This vintage is still getting better, it’s just a baby with many more years of bottle maturation benefits. Paired this with prime filets mignons from Costco, corn on the cob grilled in their husks and baked potatoes. Quite harmonious!

Holding up exceptionally well. On a South Pacific adventure with some of my California cellar.
