Wow! Tasted blind and I kept going back-and-forth between northern Rhône and Barossa. at first the nose was full out, with black and blue fruit, black olive and eucalyptus. Then the palate brought me back with a lot of restraint, slightly grippy tannins and good acidity. Finally it started showing more vanilla, spice and just ripe blue fruit, leaving me wanting for more. Good teaching moment for what Barossa Valley can achieve when things are in balance
