Still drinking beautifully. Pure, deep, ripe fruit leads on the nose, with straw, turned soil and river stone notes. Round and quite ripe in the mouth, this is all about the fruit. It’s basically dry, but the ripeness of the fruit is such that it gives a sweet impression. Just a teensy bit of stony minerals in the finish.

Terrific wine. Nose has some depth and complexity, with earthy pear and apple fruit, a honey note, and warm moist gravel scents. Fairly weighty in the mouth for its type, but with nice balance. Good intensity and length. Palate shows lots of dark minerality at first but then the fruit takes over. Long finish for a “non-noble” varietal (actually, two, Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc). I like this a lot.
