Sep 13th, 2021Nicely balanced almost old world style Bordeaux blend. Nose has crisp cherry fruit, hint of violets, a little herbal wisp, and a well-judged modest oak note. Mouthfilling flavors but with a nice sense of lightness. Still some youthful tannin to resolve, which, together with the nice acids, augurs for a few more years in the cellar.

Apr 18th, 2021I think this is my favorite red blend from the region to date! Very good structure and depth of flavors.

Oct 9th, 2020NOSE: blueberry, chocolate, light roast coffee, blackberry. Smells good!
TASTE: delicious. Blueberry, cherry, orange peel, clove and baking spices. Tannins are pretty mild and silky, bitter chocolate. Pleasant surprise. 91. Reminds me of some Washington wines I’ve had.

Decant or you’ll find it flabby and lacking. Opens up to luscious fruit and lasting finish.

Feb 12th, 2022Had the 2017 vintage with baby back ribs and some corn bread! This wine paired really well. Full body and dry yet soft. A new favorite.

Jan 17th, 2022Overly tart and acidic. Plus Finger Lakes Cab Franc is too strong and too overpowering on the flavor. After an hour open it was unchanged. This is not a bad red for the region because the standards are low here for reds, but as a “Bordeaux blend” it’s sub-par and disappointing.
