First winery on day three traveling from Sonoma to Napa Valley was Pride Mountain Vineyards with Paul. Second wine is Michelle Obama's favorite white wine, the Viognier. This bottling is made up of 100% Viognier and aged in 100% neutral French oak. Only 1,092 cases produced.
Light pale yellow with a slight greenish hue. Very aromatic and bright with tons of white floral elements, stone fruits, white peaches and a touch sweet. Crisp acidity (5.5/10) with a light plus body. Nice amount of minerality carrying throughout on the palate with some apricots, pears, chalk and sweet white grapes. Medium plus to long finish. Very easy going and easy to drink. Drink till 2022.
$$ - Tasted at the winery. Retail price is $45.00.
