This is the 11 and has taken on a fairly good presence of petrol. Certainly, more complex. Fruits take on a more even stage with the petrol. It's more citrus and loses its banana peel quality.

Let it breathe an hour. A very dry Riesling. The best I have had from Australia. And better than any American Riesling. Terrific nose characteristic of Riesling, and complex white fruit flavors of pear moving toward lime in the finish. Underrated here: likely consumed too early by others and only now ready to drink. A great value at $35.

The 2011. A magnificent example of Eden Valley Riesling. Lime, petroleum, dried flowers, dry with fresh acidity.

Stark contrast after a German... stereotypically Eden. Petroleum/ tennis ball notes developing, but still a lovely bouquet of white flowers and citrus on the nose. Medium plus body, acidity in check, with some lovely mineral/chalk carrying through complex palate of lychee, lime and stone fruit. Not sure how this ended up in the fridge; be of interest in a few years.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ acidity jumps out of the glass. Petrol notes just starting to really come on, I imagine bottle aging will help this come together more than it is already. Really nice harmony between lime, honey dew, and green apple flavors. I did not know resiling like this existed outside of Alsace, and Germany.
