Montmains Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Holy Merde! Shy on the nose… light lemon yellow. But real complexity and astonishing balance. Classic brioche, lemon, ripe red apple, ripe juicy pear…touch reductive, but what a flavor ride… nice medium weight, long lingering finish.. classic, young match with crab, halibut, snapper…nice evidence for what Old World Chablis can bring to the party.
