I’m sad I never got to meet Taras Ochotoa of @ochotabarrels (RIP). I’ve enjoyed his wines over the years, including this incredibly fresh and bright and lean rendition of Grenache that is far closer to Cerasuolo than to Châteauneuf. Herbal and sour cherry notes transition to strawberry and red currant sourness tinged with dried herbs and flowers. Angular, prominent acidity and barely any tannins to speak of. A fun, gulpable wine that is great with a slight chill on it.
