Deep garnet to ruby red. Delicious savory and meaty notes on the nose. As it opens up there is some more dark red fruits. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Layers of dark cocoa, a little mint, some light blueberries, and a bit savory too with herbs. Good balanced acidity and long finish. Drink till 2024.

Super good!!! Good aroma. This is really well mixed French and US. Elegant, but enough volume and concentration. Sweetness as the feature of CA CS. 2013 @2384, tatong - X Steam, 190310-190313

Really nice depth and intensity, without losing energy. Layers of dark blue and purple berries, with graphite, smoke and licorice.

A nice wine and solid value. Good earth and tobacco flavors with some moderate dark fruit and without obvious oak. Drink now.

Santa Cruz depth
Sep 28th, 20173.5 hour decant. Dark purplish color. Wonderfully complex nose of leather, bitter chocolate, smoky green pepper, vanilla and black raspberry. Lots of acidity on front of brambly palate. Palate had more fruit and wood (oak) than the nose. Medium long finish with firm tannins. This truly tasted like a Left Bank Bordeaux from 2010. Terrific value from Santa Cruz, which baffles me.
