A monster of an American Syrah! A Napa Valley Syrah nonetheless. Extremely dark and inky purple color. Extremely high (16.5%) alcohol but the wine is so well balanced you do not notice it. So complex. Aromas and flavors of dark plums, blackberry, chocolate, tobacco, tar, earth and sweet spices. Complimented by a long and black peppery finish. Quite savory. Nicely rounded tannins.
