Pretty and translucent pale ruby colour (unfiltered and unfined). Punchy strawberry aroma, slightly animalic. Really fresh on palate, cranberry flavours. The freshness is quite out-there, not an identikit wine.

It has been said that wine critics over-praise blowsy, forward wines on account of their impact during mass tastings (they stand out). I wonder if the reverse is happening with these modern fresh styles. Winemakers and critics are instead up-weighting fresh, thirst-quenching wines as they're a relief from the gallons of fruit bombs.
I enjoyed this wine, it's different, but I'm not sure the complexity matches the price.
