Tasted from magnum. Medium lemon, the 2015 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese is currently in a slightly reductive phase, offering shy aromas of green apple, lemon peal, white peach and a dash of petrol. The wine's piercing acidity balances the residual sugar well, before concluding with a long, lingering finish. I'd love to re-taste this in about 5-10 years. Drink from 2027 until 2040.

Boom. All those words I don't normally know how to use...They make sense here. Racy, etheral, elegant, with nervy tension. So balanced and crystalline and pretty. Flowers and honey and cashews, not so much petroleum. I know I know it's horribly young, but amazing anyways.
