This pretty well known Napa Cab (touch of Merlot is added) was a bit of a disappointment. It was decanted for a few hours. Alcohol dominated the nose. Just a bit of blackberry aroma came through. Better on the pallet. Big blackberry flavors with some tar, cedar and vanilla hints. Alcohol is there but not as intently as it was on the nose. Frankly, I was expecting more. Thank You Keith S.

Blackberry, blueberry fruit with some acidity. Not as broad as I was expecting, the tannins are mild. Really good wine drinking well now and for a few more years.

A bit underwhelmed by this wine. Picked up at Costco for $44 and just didn’t have much to it. Didn’t detect any wine flaws, just uninteresting, especially for a 2016 vintage.
