Still very young but already showing huge promise for the 2010 vintage. Light plum, dried meat, earth on nose. Super fine, luxurious tannins on the palate. Finish lingers and impresses.

More a traditional style Barolo. Very savoury but not as dry as it will become. Perfect with pasta shaved white truffle and virgin olive oil. Made for each other. From magnum.

Highly expressive and enjoyable tonight, especially for a young Barolo. The 2010 Le Brunate was showing ripe strawberry, new leather, dried spice, undergrowth, and sweet floral tones. On the palate, it displayed medium-weight textures with a tug of war between acid and tannin, which resulted in a burst of ripe cherry and spice with a tannic clench toward the finale. Rosy floral tones, leather and tart berry lingered long on the structured finish. This is a serious Barolo with all the ingredients to age well for decades.

More ripe than the Cannubio, this infant possesses oriental spice, cherries, licorice, tight tannins, loamy minerality, sincere dryness and enough acidity to let flavors linger effortlessly. Impressive and powerful but lacks true elegance.

Tasty, definitely too young and tight. Big brooding wine, opened the wrong cru accidentally, this was supposed to be the Cannubi.
update: much better on day two

totally different from the 74! A good wine with blueberry fruit characteristics but it feels so tame and a bit flabby. But on the other hand we just drank some serious older wines. I like it but it feels lacking in character.
