Very dark in the glass. Like blood in the test tube or the inside of a cut red beet. Classic toasty vanilla and cassis, blue/black-berry nose. Also some nice warm leather in there. Flavor is also very Cabalicious. Has a hint of cedar to go with ample black fruits (plums and berries. Bing cherry). Peppery with some licorice as well. Also has mocha on the backside. Balance is pretty good. A clean and smooth drinker. Plenty of tannins, but they are on the smoother side not extremely grippy. Hits the notes for a good well made Cab. Cool that it’s a screw-top as well.
