CVed 8/17/17. Comp with Cabot and Guigal Hermitage and Cote Rotie. Nose is definitely new world with lots of floral notes and hints of vanilla and some peppery notes. Balanced with firm body on palate and long finish with some heat. Almost sweet vs the Rhone wines. Different style. Good wine. Ranked it higher than Cabot. Again CVed 2/10/18 comp of Pax Donelan Syrah. Still yummy with nose more similar to French Reynaud. Opened 5/7/18. Not a good idea to poke twice! Nose now has sherry oxidative notes mixed with fruits. Palate however held together better though a bit of oxidation creeps in on finish. Still drinking well but not that fruit prominent style as before. Second warning on this week on careful use of CV!
