This straw-colored wine was truly delicious. The nose evoked, at first, a lingering minerality with notes more of apple than any other white fruit. Over time though notes of starfruit, apricot, and even some floral notes begin to come forth. The same applies with the palate. At first, crisp yellow apple and a driving minerality on the finish was the norm, bringing into mind some Chablis-esque features. After a time though (and a slight raise in temperature), apricots, tart apple, sugarplum, ripe yellow cheese, a rich acidity and bold peppery features burst forth, with a lingering finish of wet stones, and even some funky, meaty features (though it could be affected by the grilled whitefish that was paired with it). Truly a special white burgundy that will absolutely stick with you. Buy and SAVE!

Gorgeous pairing with king salmon. Buttery fish + buttery wine. Very well-made, round on the palate, balanced, long finish. Subtle. Citrus, a hint of oak, honeyed, fungus...beautiful work.
