Tasty. Quite fleshy for Raveneau. Rounded out but still light and fresh in the company of 2013’s. Cool citrus and stone. Rounded slightly sweet edges. Good.

Tropical notes. Brutal balance and intensity. Melon, grapefruit, lemon, minerals, salt. Very 2013 but exotic and delicious. Very good

Lovely limpid stone and delicate peach and lemon fruit. With air this is integrated beautifully. Very Raveneau

Medium gold color, looking a bit darker than it should at this age. POX notes on the nose including some light butterscotch and ripe oaky chardonnay. Lacking acidity with subtle fruit. Has no Chablis-like characteristics. Had a 1990 Raveneau recently that was more fresh than this. OK to drink, but doesn't have the attributes you're looking for with Chez Raveneau.

Cool and restrained. Hints of lemon, limestone, slate. Delicate and focused on the midpalate.

Bright lime green hue. Pretty intense and lifted. Sappy and vibrant with lemon, chalk and a touch of sandalwood. Delicious

Still quite young but an opulent, and mostly botrytis vintage. This wine didn’t show any of the botrytis. It was however pretty fluffy and marshmallow in texture. This was opened at left at cellar temp for 2 hours prior to drinking. Wish I would have opened a few hours earlier. Glad I have 3 more. Wont open the others until 2025 or later.

Lemon oil and chalk. A lovely balance and presence. Drunk with oysters that bring out the soft salinity beautifully. Not flamboyant or particularly intense or long but beautifully poised. Very pretty.

From the Chablis emperor, Francois Raveneau, rich and round with lemon candy, citrus zest, hints of ripe clementine and a stony minerality. Finishes long and elegant with impressive complexity at this point. A perfect choice for Chef Kostow’s cooking.
