Mostly Marsanne and this clocks in at a whopping 15%! Nose is rich and ripe. Very pure. Fascinating Marsanne minerality. Buttery but high end French buttery. Smells big. Palate is quite elegant and shows less heat than the 14.5% Viognier. It’s still there but this is rich and dense for sure but also playful and light at the same time. Very juicy, lovely freshness and as the wine opens it retains more freshness and the heat goes away. Marsanne handles alcohol much better than Viognier. Nose gets much more refined and elegant as it airs out and wow that finish is super long. Really well made. Teetering between 9.2 and 9.3 right now. I’ll see where air brings this .
