Needs at least an hour of decanting! Tried after just half an hour and did not like it at all. Very bright ruby purple in color. Almost magenta near the rim. Very long lingering tears (color even sticks around in the tears). Strong aroma - maybe candied fruit, and something else I can’t quite place. For taste - low acidity, high alcohol, medium tannin, medium low body. Overall good. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it again but enjoyable!

Lots of body, I think from cab sauv blended in. Fruit forward, but balanced with a smokey, peppery kick.
