Drank 6/3/21. Excellent with a ribeye.

Plums and earth on the nose. Palate is round and flavorful with juicy plum, blackberry, and earth. Well integrated tannins. Finishes with dark fruit that lasts around 40 seconds. Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.

The Seigniory of Olivier dates back to the 12th century. The Château is surrounded by moats and an immense forest. Deep color with aromas of fruit and sweet floral spices, elegant nose. On the palate strawberry and blackberry flavors with pepper and tangy citrus notes. Firm tannins with cedar, well balanced with acidity, long ending with mineral character. Drinking well. Nice Value!

Drank 2/17/19. Paired with a NewYork Strip. excellent pairing.

Oringinally purchased at the UGC Bordeaux 2012 tasting, back in 2015. I believe this was 30$ at the time.

Nose of Ripe plums, and tilled soil. Dark flavors of plum and blackberry mix with Black cherry. Ripe with medium well integrated tannins, yet decidedly old world in style. Very approachable now, and should remain so for the next 5+ years.

Still one of the best Olivier Vintages I've had.

Beginning the Bordeaux tour with a grand cru bomb. Big tannins with heavy legs. Dark burgundy colour. Taste starts off with white pepper spice, middle has heavy plum, cassis mixed with mild earthy and leather notes. End finishes with new kick of peppers, strong eucalyptus and a background complimentary acidity that helps maintain the wine’s structure. Paired with fois gras and assorted cheeses. Note; as more cheeses paired with the wine, the initial pepper notes were overcome by the mid portion of the wine. So far, so good.

A bottle we purchased on our trip to Bordeaux. Slightly fruity (pear) with earthy undertones. Unique.
