Vintage 2010 | mesmerizing smell: cassis, very wide range of impressions. Still potential and not fully ripe, nice bitter in aftertaste.

Dark purple with near black core. Inviting nose and medium full palate yield black currant, baked plum, and blackberry cobbler. Velvety tannins that only assert back-palate and on the lengthy finish. Add in the juicy, medium acidity and it's -- still -- an excellent companion for red meat centric meals. Filet mignon (or sirloin) with Bordelaise is a natural. Ready to drink now through 2030 if kept properly.

Should have decanted this for 2 hours prior - way too young and clunky right now - a wall of tannins smothers any fruit but this has real potential - soy sauce and damp earth

Floral, smokey, savory, black cherry and plum. M acid and body. M+ chalky tannin. M+ intensity. Cherries. A short finish. Needs time.

Paired with filet mignon at Del Friscos.. Beautiful classic Margeaux nose of red rose and boysenberry.. Luscious mouthfuls of sweet fruit that are almost new world-esque.. Very enjoyable.

Pretty nose of floral and berries jumped out while decanting. Didn’t touch for two hours. Elegant. Reminded me of a recent bottle of Spottswoode with tobacco and spice. Great experience.
