Rich, sensual, powerful and wonderfully ripe - not for the faint of heart yet gorgeously supple, so no fears! Bursting with currants, coffee, smoky chocolate, a streak of wild meatiness. Embodies the 2009 vintage, has excellent structure to last. Perfect with roasted duck and other meats!

Deep opaque ruby forshadowing the depth and concentration of the vintage. Spiced plum, black cherry, subtle dried violet petals and that rocky scorched earth. Anise and wood running throughout.

A blurry 2009 cantenac Brown. Not over the top for a 09. Very juicy ad clean.

A really great Margaux. With a grilled T-bone. Perfect pairing. Outstanding year.

Nose of plum, cassis, incense, worn leather, dark chocolate, touch of eucalyptus, and hint of violet. Very good tension on the round and textured palate with streaking acidity that showcases the rich but maturing dark fruits. Supple tannins.

From the great 09’ vintage, this is powerful yet refined.

45+ minute decant. Dark purple color. Mild nose with stone and metallic elements. Wine lacks fruit and is dominated by graphite and pencil shavings. Also lacks French terroir. I used to really like this, but this wine was pretty average if not slightly below that.

Plum, back currant, alcohol, & tobacco aromas. Flat, dry, yet juicy notes of red currant, black currant, wet leather, tar, plum, raspberry, & grape juice. Medium tannin. Low acidity.
