Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Dark fruits on the nose with black currants, cherries, plums, blueberries, barnyard, earth, wood, smoke, vegetable notes, spices chocolates, eucalyptus, vanilla, licorice, cloves, pencil shaving and peppercorn.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, coffee, bitter herbs, tobacco, earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and spices.

This is a nice Malbec with 10% Tannat and 5% Syrah.

Enjoyable by itself, or with foods like BBQ chicken or beef. Well balanced and drinking nicely now. Complex, Rich and interesting.

Vinyards are located at a high elevation, about a mile above sea level.

A nice titbit of information: Amalaya, stands for Bountiful Harvest.

13.9% alcohol by volume.
