Great taste. Drank with friend over 2 hours along with nacho cheese Doritos. (I know, odd ... but great together).

Apothic Inferno 2014 appears as a dark ruby vision in the glass and waves at the beholder with a nose born in whiskey and campfire smoke. The palate is also soaked in that boozy barrel, with the flavor of liquor coming through without the heat. The plum and raspberry notes have to fight for notice, and they barely get a signal through, although it does come, with an added hint of rosemary. Tannins are quite firm and will serve a ribeye steak quite well, especially one that’s fresh off the grill.

As a wine, I'd have to say the wood has far too much influence, but that is by design. As a beverage, it's a wild delight, bringing together the best aspects of table wine, port and liquor.

I wasn't expecting what I got I really enjoyed the slight hint of whiskey from the 60 days it was in the barrel, definitely unique, big and bold not really sweet or overly tannic, light fruit, it tastes like they say red wine in whiskey barrels and for 12 bucks it's worth a try for sure.

Surprise surprise. This is a fine blend that’s well balanced and not zinfandel forward. Good value.

Full bodied wine. I guess this wine was aged for 60 days in Whiskey barrels. Dark cherry flavors. 15.9% alcohol content! Woa! I better sip it! Wanted to end this most beautiful day with a delicious steak dinner and a good glass of wine by the pool!

Pretty good, but kind of flat. Maybe it's too old

I don't know what to think of this. Unique. Woody oak bomb reminds me of chewing on Big Red gum with some spice and vanilla. dessert Mulled wine like. Would pair with desserts or after dinner wine. It's so strange I'm not sure if I love it or hate it. Made a sangria out of the rest of it.

Quality stuff. Slightly different from the typical apothic blends. Hint of whiskey; virtue of the barrels I suppose.
