We all have that experience that we would love to undergo again, sans the memory, afresh: my first taste of peaty Scotch; the magnificent atmosphere of a Souls game; one’s first orgasm with a loved one; or, encountering a truly great, mature, Burgundy. Wipe the slate clean, let us start again; I’m sure that’s how we all clamor. But all that’s left is to forge on, in search of higher highs and the brighter lights. Nose: starts off tight, with dried, tart raspberries and strawberries, opens up to earth, oak, vanilla later, without overwhelming the fruit. Even a bit of perfumed peaches. Palate: layered light plums, juicy mid-ripe strawberries, gentle and super-silky tannins, extremely luscious mouthfeel. Finish: long, notes of stewed tea, recurrent umami and minerals. Puts the LONG in prolonged. Oh my. Oh. — 8 years ago
Mau Lea Tom all thought this was the best one of the evening. Lea said this was one of the staff picks under $20 at the liquor store near Mau's work. — 10 years ago
2007 - candied almond and orange peel nose, with a rather short finish. Didn't disappoint. — 10 years ago
Leans more toward the Sauvignon blanco end of things but the semillon crests a good balance. — 11 years ago
Dark berry, a bit of funk, and some heat on the nose. Austere berries, a jammy mid palate, and an earthy, lingering finish. All about burgundy. — 8 years ago

Real good especially considering the weak vintage. — 9 years ago
Bubble gum, dry red roses and a little spice on the nose. Dark raspberries, dark cherries, raspberries, some strawberries, bubble gum, bandaid, violets & red roses, granite, soft spice and rich sweet dark soil. There's nice evolution in the bottle as its so soft, smooth and elegant. Jean Foillard, Marcel La Pierre and Yvon Metras are my favorite producers for Gamay. — 10 years ago
