Such a nice surprise! The wine is for sure lean, but after an hour opened, she started to reveal a brilliant front and mid palate that start in the red fruit-friend zone, but then things get serious- like, meet the parents serious on the back end. Injections of super bright acids, blood orange, and black tea steal the show! OLD WORLD flair from fruit that was farmed the right way. Nothing tricky about this wine, from the steak tartare, peppercorn and red plum nose, to the shimmering but not sharp acid. More please. — 11 years ago
Maple and amaretto on the nose, blackberry, med tannin, rather fruit forward, but quite nice — 12 years ago

Earthy, fully fruity and with a breadth of spices to be truly intoxicating. Best example of the grape in the FLX!
