Hugely aromatic. Pepper and spice with a hint of vegetal. Great palate presence. $12.99 btg B — 10 years ago
Tight, slightly tart nose, palate is complex, good mineral quality, a little buttery, almost a nutty note, subdued fruit, with a somewhat quick but very pleasant finish. — 10 years ago

Not sure if it's the wine or the lobster... — 11 years ago
Juicy, a bit chilled and opened marvelously with a few hours. Paired with Sondheim's "Company." Awesome night with my brother. — 13 years ago

Lovely rose for the $10 price tag! — 9 years ago
Old reliable. Always one of my favorite Rhones. Heavyish-medium body, heavy fruit, medium tannin, great food complement, mouthy. Even drinks well alone & is friendly enough not to overpower cheese or light hors d'oeuvre. — 10 years ago
Really nice, went well with beef — 11 years ago

Jordan Wardlaw
Spot-on, classic, perfectly delineated Saint Joseph. This is the elegant and pretty side of Syrah. Flowing waves of violets and black pepper lift effortlessly out of the glass with bright red fruits. Mid palate is silk and nearly weightless with fine tannins. Low alcohol and neutral oak profile allow for a very pure expression. Hints of game on the finish with a lingering minerality and a fresh, spicy peppercorn character that would be lovely with a variety of meats and herbs. Beautiful wine that I look forward to revisiting over the next 2-3 years. — 8 years ago
