Tasted in May 2016: Bursts with golden color and Sauterne-like aromas of honey, hazelnut, golden raisins, baked apples, and white flowers. Almost New World flavor except balanced by minerals that hold the fruit at bay. — 8 years ago
very similar to Sauterne — 10 years ago
Amazing. Great brandy and sauterne notes. Savory with caramel undertones. — 8 years ago
Hot damn this was a fun wine. Sommelier said that this was the king of sweet wines in France before Sauternes took over the role. Light gold color with hints of elderflower and honey. Somm and I agreed that this was like a sauterne that wants to be a Alsace Riesling. Very good — 8 years ago
Almost a sauterne, but without the depth or viscosity. Still, nice dessert wine, even if it’s a bit too alcohol forward — 9 years ago
Like sauterne and Riesling had a kid and orange blossom watched. Perfect dessert wine. — 10 years ago
Absolutely love this as a dessert wine. Less sweet than a Sauterne but crisp, fresh, floral with a hint of apple and citrus. Very surprising and delightful. — 10 years ago
This great Donnafugata find has superb flavors of stone fruits and apricots. Less structure than say a Tokaj this is made in the style of a Sauterne — 10 years ago
Another great Sauterne from PL. A big semillon taste and a nice long finish. A ton of botrytis as most PL Sauternes show. A hint of nectarine. — 10 years ago
Good dessert wine.. lots of apricots, white peaches, a little lemon zest ... not as viscous as a Sauterne or as sweet... nicely balanced! — 8 years ago
Guys, if you gave this Sauterne a low rating, because it is cheap, not famous, or because you got it from world market, I beg you to reconsider again. She is surprisingly good, in terms of her structure and dense flavors. The nose is a bit weak and the taste is a bit too zesty and bittersweet. But she had no problem standing up to compare with high acidity end Sauternes. — 9 years ago
Honey and pineapple - oh my!!! Yummmm! Great value Sauterne — 10 years ago
Flavorful, full-bodied Sauterne. Excellent value — 10 years ago

I can only say that this pairs nicely with seared fois gras. Sauterne isn’t really in my wheelhouse. — 8 years ago
