Belle amélioration pour ce 2011 qui devient une belle bouteille — 10 years ago
Open up the bottle for about an hour before decanted for another half an hour before we pour the first glass. We were advised to drink it rather quickly once the wine is in the glass. Deep purple with browning in the glass. Aroma of tobacco, black tea, leather, and charred oak on the nose. Well rounded, complex, smooth and yet intense on the palate. Tanning is mellow. The finish seemed never end. The tiny drawback is that it seems to past its prime a bit. Overall an elegant wine. — 11 years ago
Yes the vintage precludes its vibrancy but this '80 is deeply engaging, put on weight throughout and was delicious. Despite pop 'n pour into small plastic cups. — 12 years ago
Un véritable moment d'exception. Laisser décanter trente minutes pour apprécier au plus juste ce grand vin. — 11 years ago
2004 Pegau. Always great. My favorite wine. Give me a vertical of Pegau on a desert island and I am happy. The family preferred the Cab so I enjoyed almost all of this delicious 04. Fighting with my waiter for the last pour in the bottle. Not the greatest vintage but so well balanced and intergrated flavors tonight. The seaweed/barnyard nose was just perfect with my steak at 910. — 11 years ago
Holy shit. Mr. Pott, when is the last time you've had this wine? — 12 years ago

I have to toot my own horn a little on the cork removal gymnastics I performed here. Magyver would have been proud. Big wet earth component, nose of Genoa salami and tobacco. A touch of spice and cherry. Plenty of fruit but tannins dominate. Still nice on day 2. — 10 years ago
