Reasonably rich and full while still being cool climate. — 7 years ago
This is their first release of this wine. Nose of; white peach, lemon, lime, cream and fruit blossoms. Palate of; lemon/lime zest, tropical fruits, white peach, grapefruit with a touch of sugar, delicate outstanding minerality, perfect acidity(that's cool climate of Tasmania), lush in the mouth with a really fresh beautiful finish. 12 months in barrel with natural ferment. Round but lean with nice soft acid on the finish — 7 years ago
I have never heard of this before (shout out to mixed packs from the Pinot shop!) but it's one of the best tassie pinots I have had. Smooth, luscious mouthfeel, and perhaps too drinkable. A gen! — 7 years ago

The Jimmy Watson Trophy is awarded to the best one year old Dry Red at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show and is highly sought after, guaranteeing an immediate sell out. To complicate matters only 250 cases of this wine were made and this wine won the 2011 JW Trophy. I managed to buy 2 bottles and this is my first and it is superb. Made by SA Shiraz Royalty in Nick Glaetzer from Tasmanian cool climate Shiraz. Aromas of Pepper, Egyptian spices, Incense. On the medium bodied palate spicy red fruits and more white pepper finishing with soft supple fine tannins. An absolutely lovely Northern Rhone style. Would defy anyone to pick this blind as an Australian Shiraz. — 7 years ago

Popped and poured. The Clover Hill Rosé pours a pale salmon color that’s hardly discernible as rosé at first though, it does seem to deepen a bit with air. White peach, raspberries, pink lady apples, and minerals. The wine is round but attractive and there’s ample acid to provide balance. Paired very well with homemade chicken noodle soup. — 2 years ago
