An interesting bouquet that leads into a well and interesting blend of Zin & Syrah - first time I've had this blend of grapes and it's actually quite good! The "jam" of a good vibrant Zin with the mature finish of a well rounded Syrah - it's a nice harmony even with the clever label and historical reference...well worth the premium price tag! — 11 years ago

One of my historical favorites. Like a fine burgundy in its weight and depth. Yum. — 13 years ago
Gravelly rocky vyard with old scrub waist-high vines. Benito Dusi Ranch farmed by Benito since 1940s (older brother Dante owned vyard twice as big and half as old.... Turley/four vines/J.Dusi origins). Oldest vines in Paso. First winery to put "PasoRobles" on a wine label est 1969 (not officially AVA until ten years later in the 80s) so keep it as appellation for historical purposes even though it's a single vineyard. 3 miles south of 101. 25acres/92-years old planted in 1922. Head trained, 2.6t/a. Purple floral nose; Dark, brooding, black fruit, molasses, tar, and barrel spice on the palate. Robust well knit tannin. — 10 years ago
Starting to stretch out..40+ year old vines from historical center of Vaillon proper. — 11 years ago
Promising. L006 far far too young. Lovely tannins in the finish but will need a decade or three to articulate. — 11 years ago
Lot of superlatives but it's a Kermit Lynch historical tasting... Mind blowing, complex and rich but crisp due to altitude. Worth the price. Very special. — 11 years ago
Please discover this historical wine. It will give you a sense of purpose! — 11 years ago
A lovely wine from within the city limits of Vienna, the second one this month, both were delicate, pretty wines, not powerful in any way, but nuanced and subtle. I'll be seeking these out to try and understand this uber-historical wine region that seems to make such under-stated but delicious wines. — 10 years ago
Its a historical rum with the exact recipie from the british navy since 1655 to 1970. This is supposedly the same stuff issued to british sailaors for their rum rations or "tot" for nearly 300 years. And its pretty good! — 11 years ago
My all time favorite Anchor beer, and the one they have been since April 18, 1975, it is why I am reviewing this beer now, Fourth of July coming up, it was really to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Paul Revere's historical ride, and it is also my birthday, April 18th, but back to the brewery and this beer, if you did not know, Anchor Brewery is the very first craft breweries in the USA, when they brewed this beer it was the very first American IPA's some today call it a American Pale Ale, it is brewed with cascade whole cone hops, with a rich malt backbone, by today's standards it seems quite mild, not over hoppy, nor bitter, super well balanced, I love this beer and one of my personal favorites, been drinking this since 1978, It is a true classic that had held up so well, excellent beer all around, pairs with just about any food, and just great tasting, I am a little basis on this, so I give it the highest grade, just because it really was the very first IPA in America and for me, and the price is dirt cheap for such a well made beer from a Outstanding Pioneer brewery — 11 years ago
