What a treat- a get well present from my friends at Krug. When we saw the Manresa pastry stand at the farmers market and they had a Gruyere and onion brioche, we knew the time was right. The wine is fully evolved and I'm fully involved. Served with lamb shanks and an Acme levain, this Morgon's delectable midrangey citrus notes accentuate the earthiness of the lamb. If a wine could be said to have umami as a flavor descriptor, this would be it. — 12 years ago
