Swiss dessert: dark chocolate, hint of coffee, very bubbly (for a stout), maybe some peppery after after taste. — 11 years ago
Light but flavorful. A little malty and you can definitely taste the grapes but not in a sweet way. Very enjoyable. — 12 years ago

Aroma is grassy and spicy, with some lightly toasted bread, citrus, coriander. Hops definitely showing and takes me back to the quiet, quaint town of Poperinge, around which most Belgian hops are grown. Mouthfeel light with medium+ carbonation. Finishes dry with a slightly bitter, grassy finish. Supremely easy to drink, especially on a hot day like this. — 11 years ago
This year's Zwanze is a new version of Cuvée de Florian, which is a beer Jean made for his son. It's basically Iris (hoppy lambic) aged on a small amount of cherries -- something like half the amount used in the normal Kriek. — 11 years ago
This interesting blend of grapes has a very spivey nose (thinking new oak) but delicious mouthful of fruit with a very proper tannin presence allowing long, luscious finish. Cool house pour at the Brasserie, in Wilmington near Wrightsville Beach and suggested by Jennifer (Wed bartend)... — 11 years ago

Refreshing golden ale with a slight salty character. Perfect with a cigar on a sunny afternoon. Fuck the police! — 10 years ago
