If you need to review your Côte de Nuits and practice decanting, might as well kill two birds with one stone...rich, powerful cassis and blackberry, lots of vanilla bean and a little spiced orange peel, clove and roasted mushroominess. Assertive and animalistic and expansive. Muscular, but I'm digging it. — 10 years ago

As limited as the tears of sleeping Madagascan birds, fed on by stealthy well palated moths, Wei Chi Semillon could keep your attention for days (or undoubtably years if you are patient).
A salty vessel of acidity, with promising texture that begs to be buried in the cellar and opened with Something Special in times to come--just wait.
In short, open this wine now, you will enjoy it, OR open it an 3-5 years and lose your mind. — 11 years ago
Very solemn ruby note with gorgeous transparency. Fascinating nose of wild berries fruit basket, licorice, leather, strawberries; quite complex. Incredible elegance from entrance to exit, long passage showing gorgeous structure of soft and long tannins. Very exotic and luring traits. Explosive acidity in the third quarter, along with exotic latex flavors. Very long and lingering finish. 95 pts. — 11 years ago
Very smooth yet dry, didn't have the sharp after taste of most dryer wines. This was super good! — 11 years ago
This is a 2011 vintage. Brilliant golden yellow, of medium hue and intensity. Phenomenal nose of aromas of latex and lime peel, and limestone. Great presence, with very, very long passage and array of flavors. Phenomenal acidity with great grip on the palate that really makes you salivate. Very food worthy wine. Quite long, pleasant and brilliant finish. Fabulous value!!!! 92 pts. — 12 years ago
Excellent nose. Beauty bouquet. Deep dark colour. Well balanced tannins. Stimulating to the nasal passage. Legs of a 24 year old volleyball player. My buds are dancing! — 12 years ago
Love this unusual cab franc-merlot blend from Andrea Franchetti!, also an unusual guy with some rock'n'roll background with which I seem to sympathise. If this is the future of the much-loathed Super Tuscans, sign me in! Oxidative approach, racking, 2nd, 3rd & 4th passage barriques, cement tanks. A wine that sits nicely next to you and invites to enjoy, not a masculine ego-show. Looking forward to try his Passopisciaro very soon #rosso #toscane #andreafranchetti @WineTraining @Dusan Bradanovich — 10 years ago

2008-An assault on one's nasal passage. Waves of fruit, minerals and nuts all presented in a delicious balancing act that glides effortlessly to a long and unctuous finish.. Obviously not inexpensive but delivers the goods. — 11 years ago
Pedro Ximenez grape. Very thick and syrupy, molasses in color and also almost molasses consistency, with very thick legs. Like the color of coca cola. Very good presence on the nose giving off aromas of dry prunes in brandy. Quite heavy on the palate; clearly the thicker wine that I have ever had. The performance of this wine in the palate is really admirable, with great entrance and very long, tasty and complex passage. Molasses, cane sugar honey, thick raisings syrup flavor, explosive acidity and finish, with black pepper notes. Very peppery, very amazing, very, very long. 98 pts. — 11 years ago
Almost honey-like toasted golden color, with continuous light fizz. Sweet corn and hints of honey on the nose. Quite creamy, full bodied ale, quite harmonious and polished in its faily long and complex passage. Very entertaining all along, and leading to a very tasty and lingering finish. 89 pts. — 11 years ago
Golden toffey color, quite dense. Incredible nose of apricot, caramel, and sweet corn. Wow! Quite delicious and complex beer! Full body of creaminess! Long passage, all full of interesting sensations and flavors. 96 pts. — 12 years ago
Another dream wine. This birthday lineup will go down right next to the love of it and dangerous birds and imposter McCoy experiences. Super dark fruit and savory nose with a complexity in layers with a finish that lasts for minutes. Eleven confessions. You truly cannot find anything else just like this. — 10 years ago

Honey-like golden color with endless micro bubbles. Sweet barley aromas with hints of honey. Full body beer, very creamy and very smooth flavor profile. Incredible harmonious and smooth passage. I could drink this beer by the gallon, it is so smooth and creamy. 91 pts. — 11 years ago
Handsome caramel brown color. Caramel toffey comes on the nose as well, softly, along with cobs of corn. Beautiful passage through the palate, very orderly and harmonious, with phenomenal complexity, all in a medium to full body. Leatherly sensation on the tongue. Sweet toasty flavor on the long finish. Oily sensation at the end. 93 pts. — 11 years ago
Dark crimson, fairly opaque. Quite the wild cherry nose, red and dark cherry aromas, and second tear red bell pepper and hints of black soil. Great length. Quite elegant with complex expression of fruit along the long passage. I'm going to go along Robert Parker with the 91 pts. — 11 years ago
Ruby opaque. Wonderful aromas of green forest, lumber, pine, tree bark, tobacco, blueberry jam, blackberry, and smoke. Dark cherries too. Beautiful entrance in the palate, showing off its bright and beautiful acidity; very long structure and passage through, adorned with a great array of flavors, nuances and complexities. Long finish giving off flavors of dark berries and cherries, black currant, expresso coffee, and more. 92 pts — 12 years ago

Funky, earthy notes of plum, leather, dried herbs, sage. A fun, rustic wine. — 10 years ago
