I don’t want to, but this is a damn good wine - 1990 vintage — 9 years ago
When in Rome (as they say) 75% Cab Franc, 25% Merlot. This needs air or you'll think it uninspiring (was best the next day). Violets and slight French oak nose. Smooth, clean blue fruits with tannins up front fading at mid palate. Med/short finish. Solid wine. — 9 years ago
Old world taste for this still relatively young wine — 11 years ago
Balanced and light, acidic and fruity on the palate — 11 years ago
Refined, not too tannic — 12 years ago
If a wine can be honest (& a farmers wine to boot), this is it. Even threw off a bit of sediment for such a youngin'. Much much better the 2nd day. Doesnt have the acidic snap that some of my fave Bourgueils do, but Im rootin for it — 9 years ago
Bright red fruit, light body, white pepper and fierce tannin — 9 years ago
Prototypical 06 burgundy. Good stuff. — 10 years ago
This is super tasty El Dorado goodness...thanks for this @Chris Pittenger and @Sarah Mason Pittenger!!! — 11 years ago
Wild strawberry, bright cherry and tons of minerals. A touch out of balance with the abv. This needs time to coalesce. But not long. — 11 years ago
Dark cherry with black licorice; no hard edges; full in the mouthful and a long finish. Delicious — 8 years ago
Needs to air out some after opening. Typical bold barola — 9 years ago
Soyka special delicious wine — 9 years ago
Flavors of ripe cherry, leather, plenty of tannins and good finish. Tried it with some chocolate, was actually pretty good. — 9 years ago
Just right. — 10 years ago
Yum! This is the 4th bottle of this wine I have purchased. It's my couch sitting go to, smooth and a little complex. This is a red I would suggest to a Pinot lover looking for something a little more deep and complex. — 12 years ago
