Every time I’ve walked into the cellar, this bottle has been starring at me and since I was making pasta alla puttanesca, I figured it was as good a time as any. Definitely on the high end for Barbera d’Alba but I’ll be damned if it ain’t worth every penny. Decanted for about an hour prior to dinner. This was extraordinary on the nose. Dark fruit dominated with baking spice, in particular, there was a significant aroma of nutmeg. The other obvious bit on the nose was, and you’ll have to bear with me here, engine shop floor. Like, the smell of walking into an old mechanic’s garage. As weird as that sounds, it was awesome. On the palate it’s big with dark fruit and spices. Tangy finish. Firm but fair tannin. Balanced. So delicious on its own or with food. Drink now with an hour decant or hold. This will be really good for years to come.

E’ molto popolare tra noi. E’ equibilibrato, perfetto per la cena. I miei amci lo hanno preso da Warehouse wine enoteca. Lo vogliamo di nuovo ancora. Vi piaciono i miei amici molto. — 5 years ago
Definitely young for this producer, but WOW. Absolutely beautiful. I dont think I've had a wine taste so much like rose water and hibiscus. Plenty fresh raspberry and red apple skin tones on the palate.. feels a little Burgundian, but definitely Piedmont Nebbiolo. This is a complex wine from arguably the best wine producer in the region that keeps developing as it sits in the decanter. Buy a case and lay down for a few years. Worth every penny. — 7 years ago
Saturday night and I have opened the 2015 Albert Morot Beaune Teurons Premier Cru Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is abundant red fruit of being cherries, raspberry, strawberry, roasted coconut, rhubarb, vanilla, mint and earth notes.
Upon first sip on the palate there is a tartness but that may be its youthfulness and will wear with age, cherry, raspberry, ripe tomato, truffle, rosemary, beets, green tea, black olive and an earth component.
This wine is medium bodied with medium acidity and mouth coating medium + sandy tannins that leads to a long fresh finish. A nice burgundy that won't break the bank. Enjoy your weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 8 years ago
Gorgeous vintage that captures the more delicate and floral side of Barbera. This needed a bit of time but after tasting on the 3rd day I was very taken by its lovely aromatics, bright red fruits and silky texture. There is an almost Pinot Noir-like finesse going on here that is highly appealing. Black cherries, purple flowers and dusting of sweet baking spices. Definitely some French oak coming through but it is very finely integrated. Very silky tannins and a sense of delicacy that belies the 14.5% ABV. A real winner that I would highly recommend for food pairing or for simple and pure enjoyment. — 8 years ago
I have been loving a bottle from Alsace lately, and this doesn't disappoint, smells like the mountains, taste of melon, and sour candy — 9 years ago
There is Dolcetto, and then there is Roagna Dolcetto. I have been drinking this since the 2006 or so vintage and this is the best version yet. Cheap, generous, with snap and juicy dark red fruits. Gulpable with a bowl of pasta, a harmonious pairing with sage spiked lamb bolognese. Only 12% abv!! Back up the truck and drink it right away, this is best fresh and not for aging. #roagna — 10 years ago
I think I liked this better than the bottle I had the other night and I loved that one. The best part was that nothing overpowered your senses and it was just a pleasure to drink. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow delectable wine drinkers. Be safe — 8 years ago

March 17, 2018. J2birthday party. This was Top Ten win of the month last fall. I chose as the white option for party goers. They loved it. Even I did, too. Light, refreshing well balanced wine. As someone else mentioned, would be great for summer. — 8 years ago
What a delicious discovery to find a completely different grape, from a different country, in a different yearly vintage, that tastes so unmistakably similar to it’s distant doppelgänger. This near clone of Saint Amour is an instant hit for us and I can’t wait to explore other wines from this delicious Italian producer. — 8 years ago
