Not really sure what was going on with this bottle, and from what I understand that is the point! Soft, tasty juice defying whatever expectations you may have had; open on a sunny day!

May 29th, 2015Nice blend. Mint, herbs, berries, hard candy on the nose. Medium weight on palate, with bright zingy flavors. Really nice warm weather red. The viognier comes through.

Aug 28th, 2017Unknown blend.
Light, almost Burgundian. Semi transparent.
Fruit-forward bouquet: raspberry, strawberry, red cherry, blackcurrant, with some baking spices of nutmeg, anise, and cinnamon.
On the palate, things get a bit more complex. Dusty but soft tannin. Medium high acidity. Dry. Flat cherry Coca Cola with a trace of stemmy greenness. Red and black fruits.
With an hour of decanting, it should be ready but I can see the tannin smooth out with 3-5 years of bottle aging as well. 89+
