Pretty reticent nose of camomile & golden syrup. Normal richness of texture on the palate but lacking in fruit.

Stone fruit, tangy bitterness, honey and mineral shards, all woven in an unctuous texture.

A complex, fantastic white. Took a very, VERY long time to open, going through several phases: first funky, then buttery, then finally starting to unwind and relax after two hours with big gooseberry fruit, smoke, pepper, macadamia nut, sage, and toffee and butter on the smoky finish. Rich and assertive, pretty manly for a white. Even better, spicier and gamier after 3-4 hours. Give this a LONG time to breathe and you will be rewarded.

Such a great nose, but where's the acid/balance on the palate?
