100% Marsanne, plush/soft texture, fleshy, peach and pear. 2012. Ripe, but still balanced.

A hint of creme brûlée to sweeten up an otherwise steely, petrololeum flavor. Lovely with summer salad and lemon whitefish.

Off bottle? Strangely dirty and oxidized… Nothing like my last. Hopefully an anomaly because I have a few in the cellar.

2010. Strange saline and sweet tarragon aromas--at times poblano, corn tortilla, and salinity had this crazy momentary ureic allusion. Yup. Weird, huh? Maybe from the white wine sautéed leeks on my palate ..? Pretty intriguing...if pleasantly different from anything else. This is outperforming many a vintage of Clape St Peray in my tasting..others were hot and caramel across an unpleasant finish.
