Dec 25th, 2017Youthful and vibrant still. Red cherry jolly ranchers dipped in cedar. Bringing the 🔥! I prefer this to the '01 that I had the other day. @ Pignetti's Restaurant, Temple TX

1 person found it helpfulDec 6th, 2016I had 3 of these bottles and I've consumed 2 already. Both tasted VERY different! One would be a clear 9.3, the other a 9.0. One was bright and open and with supple red cherry fruit on the nose and palette and not overly oaked. It was beautifully balanced but nothing really stood out and made a clear statement. They other seemed thicker and darker and had that funky barnyard earthiness, but with less fruit on both palette and nose. Kinds strange I thought. The good one I bought at a wine store and the other at HEB, so maybe it was a storage issue that made one seem so different and not for the better.
