2014 vintage. Decanted and tasted 30 mins and an hour post-decant. Yellow Chartreuse color. Beautiful vanilla/cinnamon Jeffrey pine at dawn nose. That flowed over into the flavors along with substantial mineral components. Showing great. Very enjoyable. 1.12.24. — 10 months ago
Bottle compliments of Ken and CIG’s 30th; opened during Moxie’s soft opening at Alexandra House. Danny is drinking solo as he has been since June (counting the days until cleared to drink again) — and comments include, “it gets better the colder it is; I like French and New Zealand SB more; it doesn’t have the acidity we are used to...” Most importantly, tonight we toast to Josie as we wrap our head around what 22 August will forever mean to us. We have one other bottle; will confirm rating when we both can share the bottle. — 3 years ago

Amazing crisp green apple flavor. Don't serve too cold otherwise you lose the fruit. — 7 years ago

25 year anniversary of this wine. I have been a Peter Franus fan for a long time. This zin is medium ruby, black and white pepper, clove, cedar, red cherry, vanilla on the nose--the wood is definitely pushing through, but not overpowering. On the palate, more blue/black fruit emerges, blackberry mainly. Tannins still pretty dry, alcohol high. I think this can rest even longer but it's great now too. Awesome!!!

2007 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chardonnay. HB w MnD and J&D B. We loved this wine wine so much at the Heart concert and we loved it tonight. Floral, along with notes of buttery brioche and oak. However, somewhat surprisingly, as we drank this in comp to the 2013 Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay, it did not win out. Still such a great wine that we really, really enjoyed. — 8 years ago

Lovely deep ruby colour, with a dark fruits aroma. Smooth and medium bodied with a lovely rounded cherry and blackberry.

My first Lauer GG, this is everything I love about his wines compacted like a crushed car into something so dense as to be almost unknowable. Would be curious to know how these drink decades beyond. — 5 years ago
Amazing richness and flavor without any excess weight in 12% abv package. Savory red fruits with well-integrated tannins and a flavorful savory finish. Very nice now with a one hour decant, probably better in a year or two. — 6 years ago
